CUBA - HAITI - MIGRATION - ARRIVAL
A group of 49 Cuban citizens who were stranded in Port-au-Prince, Haiti after the riots of the past weeks, arrive at the Ignacio Agramonte airport in Camaguey, Cuba on April 19, 2024. The Cuban government began this Friday the evacuation operation of its 254 citizens who have remained blocked for almost two months in Haiti, a country shaken by violence. "Today the 1st phase of the return operation of the compatriots stranded in Haiti began, who travel in a bus caravan from Port-au-Prince to the city of Cap Haitien in the north of the country," said the Cuban Foreign Ministry on X.
